Groups and Meetings
The United Methodist Women meet the 2nd Tuesday
of each month at 1:00pm at the Church. There is a monthly collection for
the soup kitchen in Waterville. There is children’s time during the service
every week, with occasional presentations. Childcare is available during
the rest of the worship. Special Collections are taken during times of
need. There is an annual Ecumenical service on Good Friday including the
area churches. They also sponsor a local Boy Scout troop.
A word from Pastor
Rimm: "We are a warm, friendly, and welcoming Church." There
were two congregations of the United Methodist Church in Vassalboro and
in 1989, united and became one. The church that now is used for the congregation
house articles from both of the churches.
The annual Christmas
Eve offering is donated to the soup kitchens of Waterville and Augusta.
The church now sponsors
the Vassalboro Food Station at the Rt. 32 Vassalboro Fire Staion.
